Pros:
Cons:
Overall I am very happy with Trade King, but the one glaring weakness to me is their charting platform. It feels very clunky and not very flexible for what I want to see. I can't have all the indicators I'd like, and it doesn't seem to save the settings that I do have all the time either. Also, their watchlist needs improving. You can only have 50 symbols on there, and you can't do an import of symbols from any file type or a mass delete, such as "Clear Watchlist", so you have to add and remove each individual stock yourself.

Pros:
It works
Cons:
I've been with TK for almost a year. It's low overhead and it works. Executions are quick and there are limited advanced orders (trailing stop, OTO, OCO). The only reason I'd leave them is for rule based execution (Ie. exit strategy based on technical indicators).
Low overhead. Trouble free.

I actually have an account and is using it right now. TradeKing so far has been quite impressive and everything is smooth once you get your funding account setup. Trading, research tools and support are all pretty good. You don’t get those all-in-one trading platforms that power etrade gives you but I’d think that most people are fine with TradeKing’s platform.

Pros:
Cons:
I've been about two years on TradeKing, liked the commission structure, and like the fact that for the most part, the intuition behind the software tree is consistent from one end to the other. Not saying it's perfect, but your Gramma could get on here and trade without headache. I do an IRA here, using credit option spreads and going long in equities. TK has continued to build their education pages, but I've not looked there in a while. Simple, uncomplicated, cheap, effective.

The first stock broker I signed up for is TradeKing so it’s not like I’m very qualified to say but so far I’ve had no problems. I would highly recommend them to everyone that cares to hear about my opinion!

Here’s one thing I LOVE about tradeking:
no minimum to start or maintain an account.
If you want to dabble, it’s NO PROBLEM!
This is the only discount broker I’ve come across that has no minimums. I have seen a couple others – optionshouse, sogotrade – and while they offer low cost of trades, they require hundreds/thousands of dollars to start.
Since there’s no minimum, ALL of the holdings are very liquid. my holdings could be sold and the funds in my bank account in 2 days. And then when I’m ready to refund, I just transfer money back in.
They even let me set up an IRA unfunded, so when I will need to roll over an IRA in a few months, it will already be set up.

Pros:
cheap, ligit, good customer service
Cons:
bad charts, clumsy platform
I started using tradeking a couple months ago. I was pretty much just looking for a broker that would not rip me off because I read a lot of horror stories about fake forex brokers. Tradeking is ligitimate and offers the best prices. They also have excellent customer service. The only bad thing is the clumsy platform and crappy charts. I am a complete amateur trader but probably could not ask for a better broker because beginners need cheap trades to balance out their limited money supply. While the trading is very fast there are no streaming quotes, but I am not sure any of the cheap brokers have streaming quotes. I am very happy overall.

Pros:
Great community to watch and interact. One of the best in trading commissions.
Cons:
Extra $0.01 per share on the entire order of stocks priced less than $1.
TradeKing is one of our favorite brokerages -- we ranked it #2 among Top Brokerage Firms in 2010 and rated it Best Brokerage in 2009. The firm received lots of awards: 5-star rating in Customer Service and Trading Tools in the June 2009 Barron's Broker Survey; 5-star in Customer Service in the 2008 Barron's Brokerage Survey; overall #1 Discount Broker in 2007 and 2006, according to Barron's.
TradeKing has no minimum requirements or hidden fees. Beginners could place broker-assisted trades for the same low price of $4.95 and could learn to trade and get investing ideas in the website's friendly community.
TradKing is not the right brokerage for trading penny stocks. There are better brokers for stocks below $1.

Good broker.

Pros:
Cons:
The fee is attractive, but the site is slow, the response to a problem is slow and since they don't clear themselves execution speed is extremely slow at times. They do have some good features such as Ivolatility scanners. Earnings center with calendar and estimates. The news links and ticker streamer leaves a lot to be desired. The fact that they are young and still evolving maybe something to look into later.

Pros:
Cons:
i searched allot through various review sites before i started my account with them, ive been trading pretty much everyday for the last 8 months and havent tried any other brokers so i cant really say good or bad for any other brokers. however they do rape you if you try and trade penny stocks. (which i have learned to stay away from regardless of the fees) which i was doing with blockbuster when it was trading around a $1. I pretty much what i do is swing trading also. another thing, if you place more then 25 trades a month they give you streaming 1min charts an quotes. im just getting into options so not sure if their price for options is better or worse then other brokers. ive thought about going to a more expensive broker for advanced software but just havent looked into it yet. one other nice thing is they offer live chat all day with a rep which is nice for all the questions you will have when your a newbie.
