Pros:

Cons:

Bank of America Investment Services is not recommended.
The registration process needs a major overhaul and trade execution and research tools are nothing special. Commissions and fees vary widely depending on a number of factors. On top of this, I personally had an exceptionally poor customer service experience with the bank. Stay away from Bank of America Investment Services.

Pros:

Cons:

This was my first online broker. 10 dollars per trade got old real quick. Hard to execute otbb/pink sheet stocks because you have to use a safe pass which takes extra time and is a real pain in the butt. They didnt have many shares to short either. They do have a new program where if you have over 25k all online trades are free which is nice. Broker assisted trades cost 45 dollars which is way too much and sometimes your forced to use it cause the online system will keep rejecting your order. All in all if your not a day trader its a good system to buy stocks here and there. They have excellent tools that I stilll use even though I dont trade with them anymore.

Pros:

Cons:

BofA is a solid broker, but more for buy-and-hold type investors rather than active traders. Their commissions on options are especially high too.
